Dr. Rosoff’s basic orientation is cognitive—behavioral, but she has been trained in many orientations and approaches to psychotherapy – utilizing skills from several disciplines.
She believes there can be a biological propensity toward different behaviors and ways of thinking such as anger, anxiety, phobias, depression, obsessive-comulsive behavior and addiction. Medication can help but if there is a resistance to medication, there are other ways to overcome or at least decrease unwanted symptoms. Dr. Rosoff teaches meditation and relaxation techniques along with insight, cognitive-behavioral techniques and behavior modification.
At the time you decide you will come to see a therapist, you are making a commitment to make your life better.
