High anxiety is very unsettling to say the least. It is characterized by constant worrying and thinking too far ahead or too far behind. It’s hard to stay in the now and just deal with what is. It takes some practice but it is not as difficult as one may think to stay in the moment. It is helpful to use techniques that can decrease anxiety like meditation, relaxation and physical activity. It is difficult to be high anxiety all of the time because the discomfort is relentless.
